Oak Hall is the most beautiful B&B I've ever had the pleasure of staying at - and we've travelled very widely across the UK, Europe and beyond and stayed in some lovely B&Bs. I knew when booking it that it was going to be good but our actual experience was so much better. From the moment we and our friends arrived, we were warmly greeted by Elizabeth - her hosting skills are second to none. The house itself (more like a mansion!) is straight out of Gone with the Wind and is fabulous inside and out and kept spotlessly clean. Elizabeth has thought of everything that her paying guests might need, so we did not want for anything and when I asked her for some bubbly at breakfast (to celebrate my husband's birthday), it was served very quickly, deliciously chilled in lovely glasses and the cost charged was very reasonable. And as for breakfast - homemade cooked items accompanied by fruit, lots of buttery toast with preserves and good coffee - it was the perfect start to our day. The rooms we stayed in were fabulous - I don't think I've ever had such a huge and inviting room in a B&B before. And the icing on the cake - which we weren't expecting - was that a pool had recently been installed and on a very hot day, it was so refreshing and welcome to use this. All in all a fabulous stay - wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Vicksburg area! Thank you so much Elizabeth - we have such great memories of Oak Hall and luckily some great photos and videos to remind us of our stay.

Beautiful 1910 built, 8500 square feet home with huge rooms and plenty of space. Updated bathroom and everything very clean and in working order. Super friendly staff who were happy to share the property’s interesting history. Breakfast was good and we ate outside on beautiful porch area out front. Sat out there when we arrived back at night and had a couple of beverages. Very relaxing. Set in a lovely old part of town with similar historical buildings. Twenty five minute stroll to downtown Vicksburg which is a mix of great public buildings and quaint little stores. Vicksburg is a mix of nice and some run down buildings but felt safe and people were very friendly. I would recommend this B&B to anyone and would definitely stay there again if in that area.

We loved everything about the property. We booked the rustic suite for ourselves and our two children. It’s in the attic and was private and quiet. The house was gorgeous and interesting and fascinating. It was really impressive. Our children had fun exploring it, but I’ll be honest. We parked them in front of the TV in our room soon after arriving, and explored the house in depth by ourselves. We took a lovely walk through the neighborhood looking at the other old houses. on Sunday morning there was a lovely home-cooked breakfast that we all enjoyed very much! We will definitely stay here again the next time we pass through Vicksburg. The owner was on site and very hospitable and made us feel very welcome.

Magnificent location with a family feel to it. Spacious room(s) and one of the best beds we have slept in for a long time. Everything was high quality, like the linen, the towels and the entire bathroom. Cherry on the cake is the breakfast which was cooked to order by the breakfast chef with new modifications every day. We got both sausage, a quiche and a divine fruit salad. Also met the owner Elizabeth, who really seemed like she wanted us to feel at home. The property has porches in all four directions, so you can always find a spot to sit a sip on a cup of tea or a glass of wine. The neighborhood is peaceful and the house itself if a part of Vicksburg's history.

This place is magnificent, it was like stepping back in time but with all modern comforts. The historical house is beautiful inside and out, it has gorgeous, original stained glass windows everywhere you look. The shared areas and the bedrooms are perfectly furnished to match the style of the house and provide all comforts. All rooms are huge with big, comfortable beds, complimentary coffee, sitting area, TV, AC, etc. The homemade southern traditional breakfast was excellent, prepared by the most lovely staff. One of the best and most special stays I've ever had!
